Services:
The Chester Public Library offers photocopying and fax services.
The Library has Movies, DVD's, Books on Cassette and CD, over 50 magazine subscriptions and of course BOOKS for all ages.
We have access to several online databases including the Union Leader, EBSCO, and a Biography Resource Center.
We offer a summer reading program as well as seasonal/holiday story times.
We also host many "theme" days throughout the year as well.
** All of our events are posted on our Outside sign, in the Library, in the Post Office, on Chester's Website, Cable T.V. and in the area papers (space permitting)
The Library also has drop off boxes for the NHSPCA, the Lion's club for used and no longer needed eyeglasses, and cell phones for seniors.
Overdue Materials:
We do not calculate fines for overdue materials; we have a conscience box where you may make a donation for your late items. Even if you have had something out for a year it will cost you nothing to return it to us. We would just like the materials back. If the Library is not open you may drop the items in our outside book drop 24 hours a day!
Now is the time to check around the house and see if you have anything hanging around that belongs to the Library.
By bringing back overdue items, you are allowing your fellow citizens a chance to use those materials. If you have overdue materials that are not returned you run the risk of not being able to check any items out until your account is cleared.
Please be courteous to fellow library users and bring your items back in a timely fashion.
We all thank you for your cooperation in this.
